Nobis Hotel Copenhagen

Beautiful listed property on H.C. Andersens Boulevard has been transformed from a music conservatory into a luxury hotel

Five star hotel with high comfort

Nobis Hotel Copenhagen is a five-star hotel established in 2017 in a property worthy of preservation, which is located next door to Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Historical details are combined with Nordic design and high comfort. Older property, new function The property from 1903 has had several functions during its lifetime. Before the transformation into a hotel, the property most recently housed the Royal Danish Academy of Music, which filled the rooms with classical music. Now, 77 high-ceilinged hotel rooms, a gourmet restaurant, meeting facilities, fitness facilities and wellness rooms with sauna and pool have been established here. The building is energy-optimized, a large number of new technical installations have been installed, and two new elevators have been established.

True to the original architectural tour

It was a clear strategy for the project to preserve original details. The beautiful main staircase in marble stands with its original floral decoration on the stair railing, and the original ceiling cladding has been recreated in shapes. Existing copper has been recycled and used as a door handle, among other things, and the new windows have coupled frames. Hotel guests thus have the opportunity to enjoy luxury in an authentic, historic setting.

Green initiatives

Recycling the city’s most beautiful houses not only makes cultural-historical sense – it also saves CO2 and resources when we preserve rather than build new.
